Why did your prices increase?

We’ve always been committed to making the best floating sunglasses on—and for—the water. That means delivering top-tier performance at a price that makes sense.

Recently, our prices increased from $65 to $85. Here’s why:

Premium Materials, Precision Crafted

Every pair of Rheos sunglasses starts with ultra-light, durable TPX™—a floating frame material that’s not only rare, but incredibly tricky to mold and finish. Add to that our signature HydroClear™ nylon lenses, which are clearer than polycarbonate and safer than glass. This kind of performance doesn’t come from off-the-shelf parts. It comes from precision engineering, custom tooling, and rigorous testing designed for life on the water.

Built for You, Designed by Us

We design every frame from scratch in Charleston, SC—not from stock molds. That means we’re investing in custom fits, coastal-inspired styles, and thoughtful details that you won’t find in mass-market brands. From the curve of the temples to the balance of weight on your face, every line is considered for comfort, clarity, and adventure-readiness.

Global Supply Meets Local Standards

While our materials and components come from around the world, they’re assembled and inspected to meet the highest quality standards. Like many makers of high-performance goods, we do work with global manufacturing partners—because that’s where some of the best specialty materials and skilled processes exist. As tariffs and freight costs continue to rise, we’re absorbing as much as we can—but some increases are unavoidable.

What Hasn’t Changed

Our commitment to you. Rheos still includes:

  • 100% UV protection and polarized lenses

  • Saltwater-safe components that won’t corrode

  • Lightweight, floatable frames (because nobody wants to lose another pair)

  • Friendly, human customer service

  • A warranty you can count on

  • Custom shades designed, stored, fulfilled, and supported by our local team in Charleston, SC

We’ve never chased the cheapest way to do things—just the best. And at $85, we’re proud to say Rheos sunglasses are still an incredible value for the performance, durability, and care that go into every pair.
